Bogota, Colombia's THP present their first official and essential EP with this digital release on Absolute Contempt. Drenched in the vital and often-overlooked tradition of Colombian punk and metal, the band melds their influences into direct, from-the-gut, bone-shaking songs that draw from early thrash, old school death metal, grind, and everything else seen through the prism of south American urgency. THP are an excellent example of the kind of music that tells truth to power and stands against oppression in a climate as volatile as only their hometown can provide and the EP provides a warning shot of the madness to come in their forthcoming first full length release. Three studio tracks from their earliest studio sessions are compiled here along with a live rendition of the anti-police brutality anthem that is but a peek at the energy the band can unleash in a live setting.
